Merlin Association for Promotion of Creativity
Assembly of the Association Merlin was convened by its President for 18.12. 2012 and was held in the Merlin premises in Rojc. The Assembly was attended by 20 of the 30 regular active members. At the Meeting after presenting the „Report for 2012.“ and „Operational Plan for 2013.“ The Members adopted a „Three-year strategic plan 2013-2015“ of the Association. Although the Association operated with reduced incomes in 2012. all projects are implemented according to plan. Association has received „Funding for institutional support“ from the
Merlin playroom was, on the occasion of the upcoming holidays, visited by the Deputy Major Viviana Benussi and the children handed commemorative gifts. The Istrian County supports and co-funds Children's Center since 2005.
This year we visited Santa Claus at his theater in the Istrian town of Pula. After a cheerful play Peter Pan had sent us gifts from the frozen and singing Santa Claus.
In collaboration with the Public College in Rovinj Association Merlin offers beginner and advanced sewing classes starting on the 04.02.2013. in the theater building. The workshops will be held on Mondays and Thursdays from 4pm to 7,30 pm.
Pula workshop will be held in Rojc Room 7 (Gajeva 3) and starts on the 5th of March and lasts till the 22.03. Will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 16.30 to 20 h. Applications on mobile: 091 789 44 81
Opatija workshop starts from 5th of April 2013 at 16.30h in the premises of the Local Board Tošina
Merlin Association, in cooperation with the City of Pula and as a part of the Creative Workshops project, is organizing an exhibition and sales event at Nimfej location (the square by the Amphitheater) for the 8th time. We invite NGOs from Pula to apply for the event and submit works of their members until 15th May 2013. NGOs interested in exhibiting at the exhibition-sales event that lasts for 4 months can participate with the original handicrafts inspired by the cultural-historical heritage from the ancient history of Pula and Istria.
ROMAN SMILES is an educational workshop in modeling and decorative objects in clay inspired by the cultural and historical heritage of antiquity and Roman periods of Pula. Topics include historical buildings, panoramic views, pots, money, masks, figures of gods, monuments, grapes, olives, gladiators, patricians, lamps, ships... The most successful works will be exhibited and used to make molds and casts in plaster. The workshop will present the technique of making molds for castings, and painting souvenirs in natural red soil. The workshop
