Merlinove čarolijeChildren's workshops will start on October 1 and are intended for the development and stimulation of the senses. Given that children's sensory integration is best developed through play, movement and research, we have designed two workshops designed for the youngest to stimulate and awaken the senses. CREATIVE CORNER is intended for children aged 3 to 6 and children not covered by regular preschool education. Wortkshop LETTER BY LETTER is intended for children up to 9 years old, with special emphasis on speech and reading development.

RadionicaWork and occupational workshop in sewing and weaving for the disabled persons and the wards of the Vila Marija Center for Adults, the Pula Rehabilitation Center and the Center for the Inclusion and Support in Community, which in 2017 is taking place on Fridays from 9 am to 11 am in Rojs Center, will also continue in 2018! Until now, we have sewn many different decorative items with our students (curtains, aprons, pillow cases, kitchen cloth) from the hand painted materials made at the workshop in Vila Marija. At the end of the year their work will be exhibited at the premises of Vila Marija. In 2018, we will work on the recycling, redesign and repair of clothing. Our students will, in accordance with their abilities and with the help of personal assistants, make bags for everyday use to be used instead of nylon bags.

Merlin aktivnosti Through the project of Medieval Events on Veprinac and Dvigrad, we started the thematic children's workshops for making medieval costumes. During the first semester of the academic year, children in the first three grades in the R. K. Jeretov Elementary School in Opatija, Veprinac, with the help of their teachers, created 32 costumes for participation in the Feast of St Mark. In Elementary School Kanfanar we used our sewing machine to create 6 costumes for ladies and squires of Dvigrad together with the students of the 4th grade. By learning about the life and history of the Middle Ages, students learned the skills of manual and machine sewing. The main goal of the project was to familiarize the children with the skills they need in their daily life and to involve the local population in launching new cultural events in the hinterland of larger tourist centers. The project is co-financed by the Kanfanar Municipality and the Town of Opatija.
