SajamThrough informal education, Merlin Association has tried to revive the skills of old crafts such as sewing, weaving, jewelry making from recycled materials, modeling and creating casts in plaster. Merlin has promoted them at the manifestation "The Original Splendor of Arena" from June 1 to September 30, 2015. through the local production of authentic souvenirs on the theme of antiquity, made in natural materials and patinated with soil, and presented at the Antiquity Fair in June 2015, and Hand Made Fair in October 2015.

Merlin has also launched a new project for medieval weaving through making a copy of the original upright loom frame and preparation of flax yarn, and made a short documentary about this process, in collaboration with the Ethnographic Museum in Zagreb, Mrs. Stana Kovacevic Ph. D., regular professor at the Faculty of Textile Technology at the University of Zagreb, KUD Zvirišće from Šemović in Posavina, Multimedia Association Lapiš from Opatija and Association Ordo Sancti Viti from Rijeka. Through this activity we have participated in several festivals in Croatia (Drivenik, Ribnica, Svetvincenat, Sv. Ivan Zelina, Koprivnica) with medieval weaving workshop, and made a genuine blue fabric on the loom and hand-sewed authentic blue woman's dress using the ancient methods and medieval patterns, which are still recognized in the Istrian folk costume. Merlin has again started making tkanica-belts, 2 meters long and made the table loom frame (reconstruction from the book by Mrs. Stana Kovacevic titled "Weaving") which can be used for various folk costumes or woven medieval belts. Facol bili rakamani is a fine woman's headdress for young girls but also an authentic gift for our business associates.
