On the occasion of marking the International Day Against Plastic Bags, December 19, and the Day of Saint Nicholas Local Council, we organized a workshop in Rijeka named "How to Make a Bag From Old Pants". It is our choice whether we want to make this world a better place and keep the nature clean. Each time we refuse a plastic bag in the store, we are closer to that goal. And when we look at the potential value of our old jeans and create a bag of our own creation out of them, who could be more proud than us!
One canvas bag replaces an average of 1000 plastic bags.
The workshop was attended by 10 students who cut their old jeans and made untearable shopping bags either by sewing by hand or by using sewing machine.
