From April 29 to May 21, 2014 Merlin Association organizes a creative workshop "Roman smiles", teaching how to make handicrafts by processing the clay and the cast made from plaster, which is inspired by the cultural and historical Roman monuments in the city of Pula.
In the past nine years, this workshop produced more than hundred items inspired by the original theatrical masks of the ancient Romans, gods, buildings and various household and other items from that period. The aim of the Roman Smiles workshop is to provide the knowledge of the local historical artwork, revive old craft of making souvenirs from natural materials and involve the citizens in the production process through social entrepreneurship. The workshop is co-financed from the budget of the City of Pula, and is open to all age groups and interested citizens who want to use their creativity to contribute to the quality of the presentation of the history of the city and design aesthetically valuable memories of Pula.
Anyone interested in this workshop may apply at www.merlinpula.hr or phone number 091 789 44 81.
